Verify Your Coverage Before Your Visit
Insurance networks and plan details change often, so we ask every patient to call the member services number on the back of their insurance card to confirm that Moody Medicine is listed as an in-network provider. Taking this step before your visit helps avoid verification issues that could require your appointment to be rescheduled. New patients can find a full checklist of what to bring on our New Patients page.
Understanding Copays, Deductibles, and Balances
Having insurance does not always mean your plan will pay the full cost of a visit. Any copay or amount known to be your responsibility is due at the time of service, and after your claim is processed, your plan may assign an additional portion to you through your deductible or coinsurance. Coverage for preventive care, immunizations, and annual wellness exams often differs from coverage for sick visits or procedures, so reviewing your plan details is always a good idea. Our FAQ page explains common billing questions in more detail.
Self-Pay Patients and Cosmetic Services
We also welcome self-pay patients. Payment for your office visit is due at the time of service, and our team can share standard visit charges in advance. Aesthetic and wellness treatments such as Botox, Morpheus8, Lumecca, and Diolaze laser hair removal are typically not covered by insurance. To help make care more affordable, we accept cash, valid checks, major credit and debit cards, CareCredit, and Cherry. Learn more on our Payment Plans page.
Important Update for Medicaid Patients
Effective January 1, 2027, Moody Medicine will no longer participate with Medicaid. Medicare and Ambetter patients are not affected by this change. Please read our Important Information for Medicaid Patients for details on transitioning your care.
